Taking down IV infusion 2

Taking down a sliding scale

The scenario

Hi, thanks for getting back to me.   I’ve got a patient who went for surgery yesterday and has been on a sliding scale ever since.  It’s 2 o clock and visiting hours are at half past and they’ve got relatives outside.  I wondered if it’s OK to take the sliding scale down now, to make the visit a little bit nicer?
